Joia Washington is the founder and creator of En'Joia Cupcake, a baking business started in 2013. Growing up she always imagined becoming an elementary school teacher. One year her niece asked her to make her birthday cake and cupcakes and the overwhelming positive response and encouragement helped confirm that she wanted to be a pastry chef instead. Joia relocated from Chicago to Los Angeles to follow her dreams and to focus more on her passion and desire for top quality baked goods. She attended The Art Institute of California-Los Angeles and graduated with honors with a degree in baking and pastry and has since moved back home to Chicago and is now baking fulltime. Here at En'Joia Cupcake we are focused on creating high quality sweets that are baked with love and enjoyable and affordable for anybody with a sweet tooth. Our motto is "The best things in life are sweet"
